Do I own the site once it's built?
Yes. Once it's live, it's yours — no lock-in, and no ongoing fee is required to keep it running if you'd rather not use our hosting. Once the site is finished, you'll be sent the website file via email and you're able to upload it yourself wherever you like.
What counts as a small change?
If you're on the Care Plan, small changes are from €14.99 per request. That's things like swapping a photo, changing opening hours, a phone number, an email, a price, or a short bit of text. One request is one of those jobs — send the new wording or photo and we put it on the live site.
It does not cover new pages, extra sections, booking, payments, a new gallery, or a redesign. Those are quoted first, at a clearly stated price.
How do I cancel my Website Care Plan?
Just email ross@basewebsites.com and we'll cancel it straight away — no contract, no forms, no waiting.
Does the Website Care Plan include SEO?
Every site gets page titles and descriptions. The Care Plan also includes a sitemap and Google Search Console, and we keep those in place while you're on it. No ranking promises.
Does the Care Plan include a domain?
Yes. A standard domain (.com or .ie) is included, registered in your name. Unusual or premium names are quoted separately. If you already have a domain, we'll point it at the site instead. If you cancel Care, you keep the domain and pay the registrar yourself after that.
How long does it actually take?
Your first draft is typically ready in 2-3 days, depending on what you need. From there it depends on how quickly we get your feedback — the more prompt you are, the faster it moves.
Do you write the content too?
We'll shape and edit whatever you send us into something that reads well. If you need us to write it from scratch, just mention that when you get in touch.
